The 2015 ARISE Capital Campaign
On June 7th, 2015 the congregation of the United Church of Mapleton committed to the ARISE Capital Campaign, which is a series of 14 proposed projects on the church buildings in an effort to renovate, upgrade, and make them more energy efficient. The capital campaign is a short term fundraising effort to finance these projects.
The following work has been accomplished:
2015: Church
New roofing done with metal shakes; Gutters and Downspouts; Inside painting of the upstairs Rest room, Nursery main room and nursery rest room, Church Office and Pastor's Study. Update of altar music area
2015: Parsonage
New upstairs shower stall and ceramic tile
2016: Church
New heating system installed; painting of Fellowship Hall
2016: Parsonage
New roofing; new gutters and sofit on parsonage and garage; new windows installed in 3 bedrooms; new external entryway doors on parsonage and garage; 3 new garage doors; new siding on parsonage and garage; power wash of back decking; new blinds installed on 13 windows; new heating and cooling system installed
2017: Parsonage
Newly remodeled kitchen; cabinets, appliances & counter tops
2017: Church
Air-conditioned offices, replacement of kitchen cook tops, Bunn coffee maker installed, entry ramp replaced, altar light fixtures replaced, painted fellowship hall & west entry, repaired water damaged ceilings
Future Plans:
Add TV(s) for projection that connect to the sound system, totally redo both parking lots, carpet upstairs hall, classrooms and nursery
